Prenup: Marbuena Ajuy

Wedding Day: Sampaguita Gardens, Kalibo Aklan

Photgrapher : Gem Castor

For every wedding we always do our best to find something different and we certainly did not get disappointed yesterday. This has got to be one of the most challenging weddings since everything from preps to ceremony down to reception was located at one yet very unique place (Sampaguita Gardens). And even though there were little mishaps twice during play time of the video, we’re glad that everything still went well at the end (whew!).

To the very charming groom, Dutch and one the most lovable bride we had, Ruby, thank you for your full trust and warm welcome to us and our work. Our world certainly got upside down with this wedding. Sand Bar plus Forest plus Precious Moments plus Cute Dog (Chico) plus overflowing love of the couple equals an unforgettable onsite vid we made just for them. Hope you guys enjoy this one!

We would also like to thank our friend Arik De la Cruz and his family for accommodating us in their house during our first day at Kalibo. We owe you a lot! Again, big thanks to you :)

Church: St. Joseph’s Sanctuary
Reception: Discovery Country Suites
Photog: David Hanson
Coordinator: A Magical Event

It’s been one hectic schedule lately finding ourselves at different locations in the country both for corporate work and weddings! Last March 15, we had the honor to shoot my cousin Myrha’s wedding! It was a breather for us of course since we were not in our home court. And this has got to be the most “kulit” couple we’ve shot! You’ll know why in a while :)

Alvin washed the video with warm colors to complement the intimacy of the event and kudos to Sheena for the wonderful “script/text” which was incorporated in the video.

We’re doing another Tagaytay wedding at the end of the month! Do watch out for that! Meanwhile, here’s my cousin’s vid…

Here’s the team together with our dear friend Julie from Manila who gladly helped us with the shoot in Tagaytay. UBER THANKS JULIE!!! See you again when we get back at the end of the March! ^_^

Church : Molo Iloilo

Preps: Sarabia Manor Hotel

Reception: Amigo Terrace Hotel

It may be another Molo (Iloilo) church wedding and another beach prenup but still it was unforgettable and very memorable for us. We did our prenup at the very lovely Concepcion island (posted earlier) and it was our first time to shoot there. So even though our skin were burnt to crisp (now in healing and peeling mode.) during the shoot of the prenup, it did not stop us from taking breathtaking shots (both the view of the island and the kulitan of the couple) that was incorporated in their onsite video. Also, it was our first time to shoot preps at Sarabia Manor Hotel and it was very spacious and cozy. Everything went well and for that we would like to thank Mimi,Ryan and the rest of the gang for the bonding time and for trusting us to be part of your wedding day. Hope we could go back to concepcion and we promise next time we will swim. As for now here’s the onsite vid! Cheers!

It has always been a great pleasure that more and more people are trusting us to become part of one of the best if not most memorable day of their lives, their wedding day. Warms our heart every time we see them smile through the videos we make for them. And yesterday was no exception. We got surprised when we received this sweet note from a couple that we did last December 28 , Jeremy and Ivy’s sde. They even attached our picture with them and because of that we just can’t help but post a blog about it. Thank you Jeremy and Ivy. You surely made our day and inspired us more to do far greater things.

Get your swim wear ready for Mayad Studios declare that summer has officially begun! With three consecutive prenup vids done in three different beach locations and our tan lines as our proof, what is left to be said?Just don’t be surprised if you see us peeling and all dark and red skin.

First prenup video we shot for the summer season was located at Marbuena, Ajuy Iloilo last Feb 11-12. The place was heaven. With a whooping one hour and a half drive from Iloilo City and a 20 minutes boat ride, the place was certainly worth it. Even though this island is away from civilization, it is actually a developed area. They have cottages for you to stay. Don’t expect that you will find a restaurant though. You need to bring you own food there, although you could ask the super friendly helpers to cook it for you. We love the sand bar that appears in the island twice daily. Also for those who are not interested to swim, there are a lot of other activities you can do like badminton, tennis, pingpong and even trekking. You can actually tour the whole island in one afternoon. We recommend it as an excellent place for team building and family outing or even a peaceful honey moon. Just pure loving it!

Our second prenup video, last Feb29 was located at Guimaras. There we had two different location shoots. First stop was Neptune garden and the other one was in Cabaling beach in Jordan. So Neptune Garden is not a beach, but you could still feel summer in that place. The place was amazing and the materials used as decoration was quite interesting. With China Thailand Philippines and other countries as their inspiration what could possibly go wrong with this place. You could also bring your own food or buy from the owners. We recommend it for pictorials (Just make sure your 2k is ready as payment to use the place), for a getaway honeymoon since they allow overnights and also convention. With a garden feel view you would surely love this place.

Another location shoot was in Cabaling beach, about 30 minutes bumpy ride from Neptune Garden, the place was nice. Bad side is you could not stay there for overnight unless you know someone who actually lives there. Although, we saw a construction site there, most probably they are building a resort. Can’t wait for future developments.

Our last beach prenup video as for now was located at Bulubudiangan Island (Sand bar beach) Concepcion Iloilo last march 2. We traveled 2 hours by land and almost one hour by sea from Iloilo City just to get there. The view was definitely breathtaking. Just for the information of everybody the island is next to the island where the movie” pinakamagandang hayop sa balat ng lupa” was done. Anyway back to the island. The beach attest to their name also has a sand bar. Which is more visible and lasted longer compared to Marbuena. This white sand beach is only about 3% developed, so you could still feel the purity of the island. Although, you really need to bring food and cook it to the island and also there is no available sleeping grounds, so we suggest you should bring a tent. The best part though is the uber clear waters (we are not exaggerating). And the feeling of being secluded and peaceful due to the ‘ala’”lost” view of the place. We even enjoyed doing time lapse since the place was so surreal. We recommend this place if you want to go camping, a super peaceful getaway and of course for prenup and post nup shoot. We would definitely love to go back if given the chance.

LESSONS LEARNED:

* Use sunblock to avoid painful sunburns

* Atleast (if only) avoid 11-12 midday shoots ; if you don’t want to end up like us- red and crispy hehe…

*Bring extra clothes even though it is not an overnight stay. Remember it’s a beach shoot location, most likely you’ll get wet!

Anyway with these things in mind. We are excited for our next beach shoot.

To the couples Ruby and Dutch, Mae and Scott and Mimi and Ryan, thank you for trusting us and giving us the opportunity to shoot your videos ..it was so fun even if it was under the heat of the scourging sun. Can’t wait for your big day. as for now…Summer na!

It was March 2, 2008 when one of us has finally reached the age of 23. Our Technical Director Jose Alberto Esquera celebrated his birthday at Messe 2 days earlier than his actual birthday. And even though we (Fiel Cecilio and me ) just got back from our prenup shoot at Guimaras that day , we certainly did not miss that event. Especially when we used lasagna as his birthday cake. Again from your Mayad family… Happy Birthday!
