Wonders never ceased to us Mayad team for the past 2 years and still counting. We have been truly blessed on ALL our couples especially our beautiful brides. And true to our word, Max and Sarah are no exceptions. During preps, the ever so cute and bubbly Sarah was on pins and needles as she kept on telling people that she was quite nervous, so when we asked her if she’s gonna cry, she just simply smiled and said no. Opposite to that though during her walk at the ceremony, Sarah wasn’t able to contain her happiness and of course Max must have been on the same page with Sarah. One of the most emotional walks we ever had. They say they have been together as a couple for 8 years yet sweetness never seemed to fade between these two love birds. Sarah even had a surprise song number especially for Max during reception. Hats off to Max and Sarah! So without any further ado, we serve you our latest same day edit, feast your eyes on our technically speaking first traditional Chinese/Filipino wedding. Enjoy!

If you have been religiously following our blog you will notice that we do our best not to just jump on the bandwagon, and we hope we are doing our job well. We keep our nose to the grindstone to deliver nothing but the freshest yet heartwarming SDEs for all our couples. And Jane and Gerald was no exception to that. For the past few days or even weeks for that matter, we have been brainstorming on what song best fitted for our lovely couple. And so we rolled up our sleeves and began searching the net, at first we thought of something Rnb. Days passed we got nothing but songs that has a lot of rapping, ‘uhuh’ and ‘yeah’ beats and mtvs with uber sexy girls (not that we don’t enjoy watching these videos) and only up to the last minute that we finally hit the spot, its not a Rnb song though and we are not even quite sure of the genre but we have a gut feeling that its just perfect for them. Good thing Jane and Gerald trusted us with this one and since their wedding was quite special for us. Why? Its because they chose San Agustin Church for their ceremony venue and just for the info of everybody, its the same church where Mayad’s first ever wedding coverage and SDE took place. Brings back good old memories (especially for Fiel and Alvin) and how time really flies. Sigh! So why don’t we start the ball rolling as we present to you Jane and Gerald’s SDE. Hope you guys like this one. Cheers!
Thanks and big love to Jane and Gerald for trusting us to shoot your wedding and also for allowing us to choose the song to use for your SDE. We really enjoyed your wedding plus the priest who gave your singing homily was awesome! I bet we will have our Last Song Syndrome with Songs from Lobo and “Only You” by Sam Milby for a long time.

Ordinary is the exact opposite word to describe the wedding we are about to share with you. “Old Hollywood look”, that was our requirement for the video when we talked to our bride, Althea few weeks ago. And that was our intention especially when she said that she wanted us to use a Beatles song for her SDE, although last minute we agreed on changing it to a beach boys’ song. And now, we present to you a super one of a kind wedding with a non traditional color black as their motif, here’s Althea and Amarind’s SDE video. And just a little trivia for you guys, this is the first wedding that we ever felt we belong; in terms of attire that is. Why? You’ll realize later..Enjoy!
To Althea and Amarind, it was really a pleasure working with you and meeting you guyz, was truly an honor. Thank you for trusting and letting us experience this extraordinary wedding. No rain could stop this memorable event. So don’t worry baby.
The “Frank” typhoon experience has been everywhere in tv,radio and internet. Everybody seems to be talking and blogging about it and so we thought we should share our own experience with you guyz as well. Last weekend the typhoon “Frank” or internationally known as “Fengshen”, lashed the beautiful Island of Panay and we the Mayad team was not exempted by its powerful wrath.
It was June 18, 2008 when we (all five of us) went to Antique to do some photoshoots for the website of Pinnacle Suites c/o Mayad Jose. Pinnacle Suites is a new business hotel that has been catering to the people of Antique and big guests like politicians, actors, actresses and businessmen that has been coming to that place. The place is very promising and the staffs are accommodating, and we are not just saying that because we are gonna do their site but we really saw and experienced it. Another good thing we found out is that we could use this route going to Boracay coming from Iloilo and if we may say so, the road was smooth and we never felt any bumps along the way. So the following day, we headed off to Boracay with out any clue on hows the weather or whatsoever. Only to find out that Boracay was already in Signal No. 1. But of course it never stopped us from shooting 2 prenup vids. And then June 21 came, Boracay was in Signal No. 3..the heist of “Frank” typhoon. Remember Yam and Joe? It was their wedding that day and still the wedding went on. As proof here’s a clip of Randall of Mangored shooting the couple for pictorial during the said typhoon. We never expected trashing the dress before reception could be this much fun.
Of course the one shooting Randall was Mayad Fiel. The two bravely shot the pictorial of Yam and Joe with only plastics and raincoat as their shield to their selves and their cameras. And by the way, Amanda came to their shoot too.
Day after the wedding we took a chance of getting back to Iloilo. The result? 2 days on the road..No sleep, no phone signal, no electricity. With Roads blocked( by trees, electric posts and rocks from the mountain), floods and damaged bridges, we still went on with the trip of getting home. And just for the records, it was Alvin’s 23rd birthday (June 23), what a way to celebrate his special day. Anyway on our way home we painfully took pictures and video as proof on what is the exact situation of the whole Panay Island. We’re just so happy that we made it to our next wedding that same day and felt blessed that we were able to pull it off successfully; Doc Aura and Mars wedding.
We would like to extend our sympathy to everybody who lost their loved ones during the typhoon and who also lost their homes. Like what our Mayor Jerry Trenas said ” Bangon Iloilo, Masarangan ta ini” (Stand up Iloilo, we could do it). Also for those who would like to help our fellow Ilonggos, your kindness is very much appreciated. God bless us all!
